Dr. Takamatsu has built a distinguished research career characterized by sustained scientific excellence and innovative contributions to glycobiology. His achievements are reflected in over 87 peer-reviewed journal publications, multiple patents, and active participation in significant national and international collaborations, including the NEDO industry–academia–government complex carbohydrate consortium. His pioneering research on the inhibitory effects of the PhoSL lectin on HBV infection has advanced the understanding of virus–host interactions and informed new therapeutic strategies.
