Dr. Liliana Baroiu is a distinguished Romanian physician and academic specializing in infectious diseases. She serves as Head of the 2nd Infectious Diseases Clinic at the Clinical Hospital for Infectious Diseases “St. Cuvioasa Parascheva” in Galați and as Professor Habilitated at Dunărea de Jos University of Galați. Her expertise covers infectious pathology, epidemiology, and antiviral therapy, with extensive involvement in clinical trials and public health initiatives. She holds a Ph.D. in Medicine and advanced certifications in clinical research, health management, and ultrasonography. Throughout her career, Dr. Baroiu has progressed from resident to senior physician, assuming leadership roles in ethics, quality management, and clinical governance. Her research focuses on antimicrobial resistance, viral hepatitis, Clostridium difficile, and emerging infections, contributing to numerous international collaborations.
