Educational Records:
Soheila completed her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Shiraz University in Shiraz, Iran, in 1982. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Clinical Biochemistry from Tehran University, Tehran, Iran, in 1991. Later, she obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Biochemistry from Tarbiat Modarres University, Tehran, Iran, in 2003.
Academic Experiences:
Soheila’s academic journey includes roles such as Lab Instructor and Teaching Assistant from April 1983 to August 1997. She served as Head of the Chemistry Department from September 1995 to July 1997 and pursued her Ph.D. candidacy at Tarbiat Modarres University from September 1997 to February 2003. She held positions as Assistant Professor (2003-2008), Associate Professor (2008-2013), and Professor (from February 2013). She also undertook a Visitor Research Fellowship at Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia, from October 2008 to March 2009 and served as a Visiting Scientist at various institutions in the UK and Ireland from July to September 2015. Notably, she was Head of the Applied Chemistry Department from June 2015 to August 2017 and has been the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry since November 2018.

Her laboratory skills encompass a broad spectrum, from high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), spectrofluorimetry, and spectroscopy techniques (UV, IR, NMR) to protein extraction, gel electrophoresis, cell culture, immunoassays (ELISA, EIA, RIA), DNA interactions, nanoparticle synthesis, nanobiosensor fabrication, and drug delivery techniques.
Research Interests:
Soheila’s research interests focus on ligand-DNA/protein interactions, biosensor/nanobiosensor design, and drug delivery mechanisms.
Awards:
She has been recognized with several awards, including Distinguished Researcher accolades from Razi University and the Applied Chemistry Department for her contributions spanning from 2009 to 2021.
